Refurbishment of 2nd Floor Broadbury Road Police Station, Bristol

The project comprises the refurbishment of the Second Floor accommodation in the

four storey block of Broadbury Road Police Station. The construction work will comprise the following principal elements:-

Enabling works to allow contractor’s safe access to the site and separation of working areas from occupied areas

Removal of non-loadbearing stud and block partitions

Removal of existing floor coverings

Erection of new non-loadbearing partitions to alter floor plan Installation of new suspended ceilings

Installation of new floor finishes

Redecoration of existing decorative finishes

Alterations to form new welfare accommodation

Refurbishment of existing lighting installation and alterations to suit new floor plan Alterations to power and data distribution systems

Alterations to fire alarm system to suit new floor plan

Alterations to mechanical heating and ventilation to suit new floor plan Refurbishment of components to the air conditioning equipment Installation of new data cabling and equipment

On completion, the premises will remain a workplace, as defined by The Workplace

(Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992.

The second floor will be vacated by the client prior to works commencing and remain

unoccupied until Handover.

The client will employ other contractors concurrently to install furniture and computer

equipment within the site during the last week of the contract period.
