description
The proposed contract will provide a flexible, personalised and responsive housing related support service to 79 residents at Edward Alsop Court, Great Peter St, SW1. Edward Alsop Court is a hostel consisting of 29 bedrooms in self-catering clusters and 50 bedrooms in the main building (to be serviced by the canteen).
The successful Tenderer will be required to enter into a management agreement directly with Salvation Army Housing Association (the owners of the building) regarding the arrangements for the building and contents. Draft documents will be attached in capitalEsourcing setting out the commercial and legal responsibilities of both sides and outlining, inter alia, financial arrangements for the office costs and rent collection.
The scheme will consist of 79 commissioned bed spaces; running 2 different programmes within the service:
- Over 50’s complex needs support service (Service A) – Supporting 50 homeless men aged over 50 with a range of complex support needs including health, mobility, personality disorder, alcohol and care needs who require onsite support to stabilise and move forward in their lives.
- Low support, preparation for independent living (Service B) – supporting 29 male residents, aged over 35, who have low support needs and require short term accommodation and practical assistance and skills building to access independent accommodation successfully.
