Contract for design, supply and installation of play equipment at Hamsterley Forest, County Durham

The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for the design, supply and installation of children’s play equipment for Hamsterley Forest. The equipment will occupy four specified sites along the forest’s new ‘Play Trail’. The successful bidder will submit designs for equipment constructed of robinia timber and designed with the consideration of the aesthetics provided by the backdrop of a forest environment. In addition, the proposed design should enable engagement with as wide an audience as possible and be robust enough to be able to cope with high levels of use. Installation of the supplied equipment will be undertaken by a suitably qualified and competent contractor or sub-contractor and all works completed by 31 March 2016.
