Affordable Housing Delivery Advice

Charnwood Borough Council are seeking quotations from suitably qualified consultants to provide Affordable Housing delivery Advice.

The purpose of this commission is to provide evidence to support the preparation of Council's Housing Supplementary Planning Document.

There are three main components of the commission:

1. Viability evidence and advice on how the Supplementary Planning Document can support the delivery of affordable housing following recent changes in government policy;
2. Guidance on what viability evidence can reasonable be sought at each stage of the planning process; and
3. Evidence to underpin a commuted sum formula

the Charnwood Borough Council adopted the Charnwood Local Plan Core Strategy (2011-2028) in November 2015. The Core Strategy sets out the policy framework for requiring the provision of affordable housing as part of new housing developments in the Borough.

The Council is now preparing a Housing Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) to provide guidance on the housing policies in the Core Strategy.

The last date to request documents for this opportunity will be 28th July 2016.
