description

The University requires 35 modular teaching systems to facilitate delivery of better learning outcomes and provide an engaging learning experience for undergraduate students on biomedical sciences, dental sciences and medical programs and postgraduate Masters in Clinical Sciences. The systems should consist of core digital data acquisition systems with multiple hardware input options and software allowing real-time recording and analysis of a range of human physiological and pharmacological parameters, including ECG, EMG and EEG. The compact modular nature of these systems will reduce laboratory preparation time and save on laboratory space, but also provide great flexibility to perform a wide range of experiments, with options to acquire new equipment modules/accessories over time, in order to develop new practicals. The systems will include integrated software solutions designed specifically for higher education and will be easy to use facilitating customisation of practical sessions and allowing students to design their own research projects. The software should also allow centralised management of students and their data. As these teaching systems are used by many other institutions (including NUMed Malaysia) this would enable collaboration with other users in the development of teaching resources.
