A Mobile and Open learning and networking platform for Science and Engineering
The Faculty of Technology, University of Portsmouth is undertaking the above project in partnership with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam. We are seeking to engage the services of an IT consultant to support the project.
The services required includes:
- advising on and contributing to the development, creation and maintenance of learning resources (including multi-media and interactive resources) using a mobile learning platform
- collaborate with academic staff and other project team members in the UK, China and Vietnam in delivering the project
- managing the LMS (learning management system) of the mobile learning platform and analysing the data provided
- conducting workshops and other appropriate training for academic staff in the development of mobile learning and promoting active staff and student engagement in the use of the learning platform, and
- contributing to the evaluation of the effectiveness of the mobile learning platform using pedagogic research, LMS data and student feedback
The work will be carried out during the period October 2021-April 2025 (42 months). Most of the development work will be required in the first two years and the remaining time will be spent on maintenance and evaluation.
We would like to hear from IT consultancy companies who have a successful track record of educational projects of similar nature, working with a learning platform and managing a LMS. Experience in working with international institutions and in multicultural environments will be desirable.
