PQ0186 - Provision of Hackney Carriage Taxi Services

This contract will be for a period of 2 years commencing 01 09 2018 until 31 08 2020 subject to satisfactory performance.

Birmingham City Council is now seeking application, from suitable organisations, to provide hackney carriage taxi services throughout Birmingham and other locations where needed. The orders placed under this contract will predominantly be for ad-hoc taxi requests for Council Officers / elected members and will include requests for pick-ups at peak times. A recent audit of pick-ups for one month and for one department showed that out of 183 pick-ups 68 were peak time journeys, 63 had a travelling distance of less than 3 miles with the remaining jobs (120) being for between 3 and 14 miles.

The term of this contract will be for 24 months and will commence on or around 1st September 2018 and will expire on 31st August 2020 subject to satisfactory performance

The Council will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest. The web address is https://in-tendhost.co.uk/birminghamcc
