The aim of this Service is to provide a programme of trauma informed based learning and emotional support, particularly in Mathematics and English, for children and Young People in care using a learning mentor approach in order to raise their academic achievement. As some children progress towards adoption (or permanence where they cease to be looked after), additional specialist support can be required to help ensure a positive transition.
