UKRI had a requirement to assess the Impact of the SBRI funding since its inception in 2009. The study will comprise of three main parts.

  1. The development of an evaluation framework to assess the impact of the SBRI programme
  1. A review of the available literature and other factors that support initiatives such as the SBRI. A clear depiction of the drivers for procurement driven innovation and what evidence is there to support the use of these types of initiatives.
  1. An economic impact evaluation of the SBRI, including appropriate impact in-depth case studies (12 Case Studies).
