Maidstone Borough Council receives funding from Kent Public Health to tackle obesity and help people achieve a healthier weight through the delivery of the One You Kent Service.
The One You Kent Tier 2 Weight Management Service aims to motivates people to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle by supporting them to make positive lifestyle choices.
Through the promotion of healthier lifestyles, we aim to:
- Extend healthy life expectancy through prevention of chronic conditions such as obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes
- Reduce health inequalities
- Reduce avoidable demand on the health and care system in Kent.
Additional one-off funding has been received in the financial year 2021/22 to pilot interventions to better support and engage Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities and individuals with Learning Disabilities (LD) who live and/or work within the Maidstone Borough.
All expressions of interest, and subsequent submissions, must be made via the Kent Business Portal (www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk) by the stated deadline.
