description
Cefas, in partnership with the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC), are undertaking a multidisciplinary offshore survey on board RV Cefas Endeavour. This survey is in support of DEFRAs data gathering exercise to support the ongoing monitoring of The UK’s offshore Marine Protected Areas network.
Cefas is looking to hire the capacity of a sub bottom profiler (specifically a Boomer system) along with the technical personnel capable of deploying, maintaining and providing the data in a usable format for interpretation. This requirement is not to deliver a final data product; but should be in a format that allows a Cefas on board scientist to interpret the sub-bottom profile and derive further sampling locations.
