DUD - BCI - Combined Fork Lift Truck Counterbalance and Reach (Sandwell) - AWARD

To deliver a combined Forklift Truck Training (Reach and Counter Balance) to eligible 18-29-year olds who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) across the Black Country.

Course should cover a range of topics such as, but not limited:

• oIntroduction to course
• oResponsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, PUWER 98 & LOLER 98
• oRegulations
• oMaintenance and Battery charging procedures
• oForklift Terminology
• oFactors affecting stability
• oMotive controls and Hydraulic controls
• oManoeuvring in open and confined areas
• oStacking at various levels
• oVehicle Inspections & running & checks
• oSafe operating methods
• oPractical Assessment
• oVehicles loading and unloading
• oProximity Hazards & Risk Assessments
• oTheory & Practical Training Sessions & Assessment/Tests
• oCode of practice and safety codes relevant to the operation

Course Delivery

The above course must be delivered on a 1:2:1 Basis, (Face to Face)

Please Note: Although this tender is for a potential 40 participants, BCI and Sandwell MBC cannot guarantee the referral of the total stated number of participants, this is an estimated potential maximum amount, we would therefore encourage all training providers to support referrals by marketing the Fork Lift Truck Training (Combined), and using the BCI referral route highlighted in the Service Level Agreement (SLA) to maximise the contract numbers.
