NHS Southwark CCG - Primary Medical Care Services in Care Homes in Southwark

NHS Southwark CCG would like to invite providers and partners to attend a Market Engagement Event which will inform the market of their intentions to procure Extended Primary Medical Care Services in Care Homes.

NHS Southwark CCG's current Extended Primary Care Services in Care Homes contract which provides a medical model to nursing homes is due to expire in May 2018, and as part of this re-procurement, the CCG will also be seeking to understand how we might use the experience we have gained from having these services in place to extend the service offer more widely. Specifically, to deliver care to residents in homes with Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration, to improve the quality of their medical care and address issues which can result in unplanned admission to hospital.

Market Engagement Event will provide:

• an overview of the services to be provided
• details of the anticipated contract type, length and particular conditions
• an overview of the procurement process and the anticipated timeline

Potential providers who do not express an interest at this stage will still be able to apply in the future.
