Provision of Pharmacy Services for Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is looking to procure a service for the provision of medicines to various

units based in Sussex.

The successful bidder will be required to procure, supply and distribute pharmaceutical products.

Alternatively, tenders may be submitted for procurement and supply only, with

distribution to be arranged separately.

The initial term of the contract will be 5 years with 2 x 1 year option extension

The Trust will require supply of medication to approximately 35 inpatient units and approximately 65 community units across East and West Sussex.

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust ("The Contracting Authority") is undertaking this procurement for Pharmaceutical Dispensing and Supply Services Provided for Units and Teams of the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This process will be used to identify and contract with a supplier that will enhance clinical standards, drive service efficiencies and deliver cost savings whilst ensuring continuity of supply and quality of service and products. The service will supply approximately 115,000 items per annum.

Price is not the only award criterion and all criteria are stated only in the procurement documents.

The contract is not divided in to lots and variant bids will not be accepted.

The Authority shall not be committed to any course of action as a result of issuing this advert or any invitation to participate or to submit a Bid Response in respect of this Procurement. The Authority shall not be bound to accept any Bid and reserves the right not to conclude a Contract for some or all of the Service(s) for which Bids are invited with one or more Bidders. The Authority reserves the right to amend, add to or withdraw all or any part of this Procurement at any time during the process.
