Runnymede Borough and Spelthorne Borough Council ('the Employers') invite tenders for the provision of reactive repair contract for the Auto Doors Installations in Runnymede and Spelthorne Borough Councils' Corporate Properties. Reactive cover is required on a 24 hour, 365 days a year basis subject to specified response times. Runnymede Borough Council is undertaking the procurement exercise on behalf of both authorities.

The Employers wish to enter into Contract with a contractor for the maintenance and repair of RBC and SBC corporate properties auto doors, and traffic barriers.

Works Orders to be issued under the Contract will be in respect of the following scope of work:

Day to Day Responsive Repairs including Emergency Work arising during the normal working hours of the day.

“Day to Day Responsive Repairs” shall mean any responsive day to day repairs and maintenance work (including Emergency Work executed during normal working hours) ordered in accordance with the provisions of the Contract and arising during normal working hours as indicated in Contract Details

“Emergency Work” shall mean Work that is required by its very nature to be undertaken immediately to safeguard the well-being of occupiers, the structural stability and integrity of the property, the health and safety of the general public and works of a similar nature, and which arise during the Council’s normal working hours as indicated in the Contract Details

Out of Hours Emergency Service including Out of Hours Emergency Work

“Out of Hours Emergency Service” shall mean the receipt by the contractor of notifications from the Runnymede Borough Council’s emergency call handling service of repair requests received outside of normal working hours and the undertaking of Out of Hours Emergency Work.

“Out of Hours Emergency Work” shall mean Work that is required to be undertaken outside of the Employer’s normal working hours as indicated in Contract Details.

The Work may take place to any or all of the Property.
