description

This contract has already been awarded to the University of Southampton. Veterans' health needs are unique. Many have suffered serious injuries e.g. losing limbs during conflict, long-term pain from physical exertion and PTSD. Government, academia and charities currently do not understand the key research needs on veterans' health. Some veterans have complex physical issues linked to losing limbs, others suffer with musculoskeletal pain, and some have mental health difficulties. The James Lind Alliance (JLA) identify and prioritise unanswered questions or evidence uncertainties that they agree are the most important, so that health research funders are aware of the issues that matter most to the people who need to use the research in their everyday lives.
