description

  1. The aim of this study is to develop a concise appreciation of the role that community-led approaches have had in driving local economic growth and providing local services, particularly within areas that appear to be disadvantaged in terms of economic opportunities and access to public services or which have previously found it difficult to participate in mainstream government support programmes. In addition to the economic benefits, we also need to consider the role that community-led development can play in rural areas in promoting social outcomes.
