description
Worcester City Council is inviting Tenders from Potential Providers for the delivery of homelessness prevention focused support for single people and childless couples across Worcestershire.
Worcester City Council will manage the grant on behalf of Bromsgrove District Council, Malvern Hills District Council, Redditch Borough Council, Wychavon District Council, Wyre Forest District Council and Worcestershire County Council.
The Service will be for single people and childless couples across Worcestershire who are at risk of homelessness. It is expected that the service will be prevention focused. The successful provider will deliver a service that supports people to live a richer and more fulfilled life, including but not limited to having the skills and confidence to maintain a tenancy, access to education and training, improved physical and mental wellbeing and ultimately employment.
Our vision includes the delivery of the following services
- Single Point of Access for all individuals at risk of homelessness
- Providing support to those who access No Second Night Out
- Homeless Prevention Support - The service will ensure a trauma informed approach is used
- 5 Emergency Shelters under the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol
The Council wishes to secure one provider to deliver these services. The service being commissioned will be for a period of 2 years with an option of extending 1 further year. Funding is dependent on future funding settlements and successful service delivery. The successful Contractor must have previous experience of delivering similar work for other local authorities and must be able to commence the service on 1st October 2019. Full details and requirements are outlined in the procurement documents.
