Cleaning, Maintenance & Caretaking Contract

Tewkesbury Town Council is seeking to appoint a contractor to provide buildings cleaning, buildings maintenance, care taking and grounds maintenance services to their portfolio of properties and parks.

The contract is laid out in the following way:

The Environment & Amenities committee require maintenance services for 35 hours per week.

Work required: Environmental maintenance (litter picking in 3 areas of central Tewkesbury, salt spreading, weed removal, etc), seasonal weeding, grounds and basic equipment maintenance at Warwick Place, Derek Graham, Mitton Carrant Road and Bredon Road parks, bus shelter maintenance, public toilets basic building maintenance, meter reading, speed sign positioning, salt bin maintenance and public benches maintenance.

The Buildings and Moorings committee require cleaning and maintenance services for 45 hours per week.

Work required: Cleaning, setting up and care taking services for the Town Hall, High Street, Tewkesbury. Cleaning, setting up and care taking services for the George Watson Memorial Hall, Barton Street, Tewkesbury. Reactive general maintenance for day to day emergency repairs such as leaking taps, blocked drains etc. General maintenance of the War Memorial and Moorings jetties at Back of Avon and Saint Mary's Road, Tewkesbury.

The initial contract period being considered is 1 year. There is potential for consideration of a 3 year contract and quotes for this are also invited.

The council is undertaking an open Procurement Process that requires interested contractors to address their tenders to the Town Clerk by post in envelopes clearly marked 'Cleaning & Maintenance Tender'.

The last date for receipt of tenders by post is Monday 6th March 2017.
