description
There is a requirement for the provision of Rip Rap (Blockstone) at various sites in the Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands areas of the Environment Agency. There may be occasions where other areas namely Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottingham; Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire teams would utilise this framework, as this approach may provide best value for money. In the course of their duties they are often required to use rock armour (Rip Rap) block-stone. This material is primarily used for erosion protection to ensure that flood defences such as embankments and walls remain at their target condition. Other uses may include rock ramps for fish passage improvements and ramps to allow safe access for watercourse maintenance. The exact nature of this Rip Rap is detailed within specification documents.
Additional information: Please respond with your expression of interest in this requirement by emailing Carole Clarke by 12 noon on 21st September 2015. Any expressions received after this will be deemed out of time.
