Additional information: Cofely Workplace Ltd (Cofely) on behalf of North East Lincolnshire Council (the Council) is undertaking an open procurement exercise to appoint a single service provider to provide the 1, 2 and 20 Europarc Bus Service. Europarc is located on the western edge of the Grimsby urban area approximately 4km from Grimsby Town Centre. It was created in 1997 as a major high quality business park of regional significance. It has developed incrementally and successfully since that time. However, due to its out of town location, residents without private transport are reliant on the current bus service to access employment at the location. There are plans to expand Europarc in both the short and longer term, which will create a large number of sustainable, local jobs. Europarc property developer, 'Wykeland', recently confirmed that the bus services are an advantage when trying to attract new businesses. The current bus service is operated from 5:15am to 22:49pm, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute frequency and on Saturdays with an hourly frequency. The current contract is due to expire on the 1 April 2016. The 1, 2 & 20 bus service has experienced continuous and steady passenger growth year on year. Cofely will be holding a market engagement day to offer service providers the opportunity to find out more about this opportunity and to ask questions prior to the launch of the tender exercise. The session will take place at the Europarc Innovation Centre, Innovation Way, Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire DN37 9TT on 29 September 2015 at 10:00 in the Training Suite.
