NKDC New Build Social Housing - Moor Lane, Potterhanworth

This opportunity is in respect of the construction of 8 new build 2 bedroom dwellings on 330m2 of former garden land to the rear of 8-10 Moor Lane, Potterhanworth, Lincolnshire, LN4 2DZ along with associated access, landscaping and infrastructure. The plot is located on the northern edge of the village and it is proposed that the development is formed with four pairs of semi-detached houses of two different house types. North Kesteven District Council wishes to appoint a main contractor for the development who will act as the 'Principal Contractor' in full compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Additionally the Principal Contractor will be required to comply with NKDC's 'Fabric First' Standards or the Passivhaus Standards for new homes. the Council will be seeking two costed proposals for the construction of the dwellings, one for the construction using traditional build materials and techniques and one to using Passivhaus build materials and techniques which will require certification. The Council will then consider the commercial viability of each proposal and make it's decision as to whether to proceed with the Passivhaus or the traditional build to the NK Fabric First Standards.

Planning permission was granted by NKDC under Application Number 19/0876/FUL on 23rd August 2019 for the NK traditional standard build. The Passivhaus standard will require completion of a new planning application
