Swimwear and Associated Swim Equipment for retail at The Heights and Medina Leisure Centres

The Isle of Wight Council ("the Authority") invites Tenders from suitably qualified suppliers ("Potential Suppliers") for the provision of Swimwear and Associated Swim Equipment for retail at The Heights and Medina Leisure Centres.

The Authority wishes to maximise its income from the swimwear and associated swim equipment; as part of the tender submission suppliers will be required to demonstrate their experience in leisure facilities and proven ability in assisting the maximising income.

The successful supplier will be required to provide point of sale (POS) material for the display of the products; suppliers must demonstrate how the POS will increase awareness of the products to potential customers.

The Authority undertakes to grant exclusive rights to the successful supplier and accordingly will not stock or sell any directly competitive products unless the successful supplier cannot for whatever reason supply any product. It is anticipated that this will result in a higher level of discount on both core and non- core products. In this case the Authority will advise the supplier of its intentions to purchase a replacement from another source.

Upon the commencement of the contract the Authority will have a stock of products from the previous contract and reserves the right to retail these in parallel with the new products until the stock is exhausted.

The term of the contract shall be 1 August 2024 until 31 July 2027 with the option to extend for up to a further 24 months at the sole discretion of the Authority.

The closing date for receipt of Tenders is 14:00Hrs on 13 June 2024.
