Annual PAT Testing of Power Tools

Sandwell Council require a company to provide annual testing of power tools and associated items. This is to ensure compliance with the Provision of Work Equipment Regulations.

The estimated contract value is £20,000 and the contract period will be for 4 years starting 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2025. However, this information is intended to assist with the preparation of your bid. The Council does not bind itself to this or any other figure and is not a guarantee of business which may be generated from this contract.

Service Specification

Each tool is to be tested under load conditions relating to the tool being testing.

A test report and certificate is to be provided for each tool that is tested and include advise on all failings and any repairs that are recommended.

All tools are to be data tagged and logged on an Excel spread sheet which must be passed onto the Council.

Portable Appliance Testing is to include all leads and transformers and any failings or repairs that are needed are to be reported.

All items are also to receive a visual check and their condition recorded.

Minor repairs are to be carried out onsite at the time of testing if possible.

All testing is to be completed within 3 working days of the appointment date being agreed and will liaise closely with supervisors to ensure tests are completed on time.
