Nature of the construction work to be carried out (see tender documents for further information) To extend an existing allotment site of 31 plots by a further 15 plots to create one consolidated allotment site. The key components of the works will be: - Earthworks including import of suitable materials to achieve site levels appropriate for development and as growing material; - Soil management across the site including excavation of soil for landscape areas and dealing with contaminated land; - Construction of an allotment access track; - Construction of allotment fences, gates, hardstandings, sheds and paths; - Utilities installation - Installation of water supply; - Maintenance of existing reptile facing exclusion zones; - Managing public access into existing allotments; Location The works are located at Barrow-in-Furness, to the north of Dova Way and south of St Andrews Street and Aberdare Street. Grid reference: 320102, 467967. Construction period The Construction period is expected to be in the region of 8 weeks. Please note there is an online questionnaire to be completed.
