The council wishes to appoint a provider(s) to supply, deliver and install Furniture and Furnishings for Children's Home 2.
The council's aspiration is to re-profile its existing 4 and 5-bed children's homes to favour smaller homes. These homes will more closely replicate an ordinary family home and life whilst meeting the placement requirements of children and young people with complex needs, which cannot be met through foster care or other family placements. The council will do this by redesigning its children's homes to look and feel like real family homes and avoid institutional style furnishings to ensure a wider range of placement options available for its children.
