description
Blackpool Council has successfully bid into the Community Renewal Fund to develop a new Youth Hub for 16-24-year-old young people under the 'supporting people into employment' priority. We want to work with organisations capable of developing innovative support options for young people in Blackpool to move them closer to and into work and we are inviting applications for funding from providers who can help us achieve this.
Applications for funding MUST align with the 'supporting people into employment' priority, and outcomes should be focused on supporting young people into either an employment or training outcome so that they are no longer NEET (not in education, employment and training). We expect a minimum of 25% of young people involved in the activity to move into work or learning. Applications funded will form part of the integrated offer of the Blackpool Youth Hub.
A total of £100,000 (max) is available over the 6-month delivery period (w/c 10 January to 30 June 2022). Whilst we welcome applications of all sizes, our expectation is that bids will be a minimum value of £20,000. Larger bids may be considered if they offer exceptional opportunities that can be delivered within the timeframe.
Funding will be awarded to proposals that best meet the Council's requirements (within the total funds available). Blackpool Council reserve the right to award the full amount of the grant applied for or offer part funding. Where part funding is offered and is declined the council reserve the right to make an offer to the next highest scoring application.
This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund. The UK Community Renewal Fund is a UK Government programme for 2021/22. This aims to support people and communities most in need across the UK to pilot programmes and new approaches to prepare for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. It invests in skills, community and place, local business, and supporting people into employment.
