SAIN Secretariat and Network Coordinator

SAIN is a UK China partnership for collaborative research on sustainable agriculture and innovation. Established in 2008 by a MoU with the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture, work currently focuses on sustainable agriculture and

developing enhanced trade opportunities. This new three year phase will establish a new terms of reference for a stronger convening role for UK/China collaborative research and technology placing emphasis on identifying potential trade opportunities. Our support will fund a coordinator to facilitate links between officials, academics, funders and industry and align agricultural research and innovation work with China. The secretariat role will continue to bring together academic knowledge alongside policy relevance.
