Provision of Insurance Related Service to London Borough of Newham

The London Borough of Newham is inviting FCA Registered Insurers only with a minimum financial rating of A from Standard & Poors, or an equivalent rating from another equivalent rating agency to submit bids for the Provision of Insurance and Insurance Related Services. This competition does not include a requirement for insurance broking services and insurance brokers are not eligible to participate in the tender. Evidence of experience of providing insurance cover for the public sector is preferable but experience with providing cover for complex commercial organisations will be considered by the council.

The ITT is divided into 12 Lots:

Lot 1 – Material Damage / Business Interruption / Money / Specified “All Risks” Lot 2 – Leasehold and Mortgaged Properties / Leasehold and Mortgaged Properties (Tando Properties)

Lot 3 – Terrorism

Lot 4 – Contractors All Risks

Lot 5A - Employer’s Liability

Lot 5B - Public/Products Liability / Officials Indemnity / Libel & Slander / Professional Negligence Lot 6 – Contractor’s Pollution Liability

Lot 7 – Crime

Lot 8 – Personal Accident/Business Travel

Lot 9 – Personal Accident/Business Travel (Schools Offsite)

Lot 10 – Engineering Inspection

Lot 11 – Computers

Lot 12 – Motor Fleet

This tendering exercise is being undertaken using the electronic tendering system “CapitalESourcing” (url: www.capitalesourcing.com). Suppliers will need to register an interest on the system in order to participate and view the documents. The registration is free.

This tender is open only to insurance companies regulated by the Financial Services and Market Act 2000, Insurance Companies Act 1982 and any other statutory modifications thereof.
