Contract for the UK Operation of the ECO Management and Audit Scheme

The Customer is responsible for implementing the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) in the United Kingdom (UK). EMAS is a voluntary European Union wide environmental registration scheme which requires organisations to implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) and report publicly on their performance. Article 5 of the Regulation requires Member States to set up a Competent Body responsible for the administration and registration functions of the scheme.
