description
This is an open tender procurement exercise on behalf of the University of Warwick for the Warwick Internal Foundation Programme provision for the period of 5 years (commencing September 2016).
Students will follow a curriculum designed to prepare them for their future undergraduate studies. With an academic programme approved and owned by the University of Warwick, they will have full confidence in the rigor and applicability of their course. Our partner(s) will play a key role in curriculum development and review – by working directly with link academics to keep the course(s) fresh and relevant.
Successful partners will be expected to provide:
| 1. | A minimum of 27 hours per week of face-to-face teaching over a 25 week teaching programme (in addition to 5 weeks dedicated to final summative examinations and revision) |
| 2. | A broad range of approved modules from the fields of natural and social science and the humanities |
| 3. | A range of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars (in groups no larger than 15), tutorials (in groups 2-5) and one-to-one sessions |
| 4. | Laboratory based study where appropriate |
| 5. | Innovative teaching employing a range of pedagogical styles and modern ICT resources |
| 6. | A virtual learning environment |
| 7. | Utilisation of University of Warwick facilities, with at least 15% of all teaching time spent at the University of Warwick with partner-provided tutors teaching on-site |
