HS2 MWC North - Temporary Works Professional Services

Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded Lots N1 and N2 of the High Speed Rail 2 Project - Early Contractor Involvement which is Stage One of a Two stage process.

We are looking to engage the services of a supplier for temporary works design; the work comprises of over 300 main assets which include 2 bored tunnels, viaducts, overbridges and underbridges.

To support the delivery of the superstructure for the works there will be a requirement to provide a substantial amount of temporary works. Which may include but is not limited to providing specialist design input, bridge launching infrastructure, large span temporary bridging and analysis of permanent works structure during temporary construction phases, general design services including bespoke falsework and access systems, ground support and foundation structures.

Full details and specifications will be provided to successfully shortlisted suppliers. Suppliers should be aware of the scale of this project before responding to the PQQ.

When required the consultant would make themselves available for site visits and regular design progress meetings, address design comments from BBV, HS2 and and reviewing third parties, undertake internal checks to the specified level or liaise with independent checkers for their design, undertake independent checking of designs produced by other design organisations.
