description
Hartlepool Borough Council is hosting a series of provider events relating to accommodation and support services for young people, and would like to meet organisations with the capacity to offer accommodation and/or floating support to vulnerable young people aged 16-21years old (up to 25 years old where young people have Special Educational Needs).
The Council intends to procure a range of accommodation and support options to better respond to the housing needs of the most vulnerable young people within the borough. In addition to having somewhere safe to live, young people will require appropriate support to make a positive transition into adulthood, including skills for increasing independence, managing a household and budgeting.
The provider events will allow opportunities for consultation to help us to understand what external organisations are able to offer and to discuss how best to procure a 'solution' that meets the needs of young people, while improving economic, social and environmental wellbeing within the local area.
If you are able to offer one or more of the following, we would like to hear from you:
| • | Flats with 24/7 support |
| • | Small group homes with floating support |
| • | Shared houses with floating support |
| • | Training flats |
| • | Floating support and/or outreach services to support independent living skills and access to community resources |
If your organisation would like to be represented at the provider event, please email the names of those who will be attending to: childrenscommissioning@hartlepool.gov.uk
If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact the Children's Commissioning Team at the email address above, or on 01429 523952.
