WAV MC - Appointment of Employer's Agent, Contract Administrator and Cost Consultant: Site E Ockford Ridge, Godalming, Surrey

The council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Employers Agent to manage the finding and appointment of an appropriate developer / contractor for this site on the Ockford Ridge estate. The council envisages a 'turn key' delivery method in which the appointee will be fully responsible for the delivery of this exciting housing scheme, working to the council as its Client and then managing the delivery of the scheme once it has found a D&B contractor who in turn will be responsible for securing all the necessary consents, approvals, surveys and reports and undertaking the works under the supervision of the appointee.

This approach is a departure from the council's usual practice of undertaking all aspects of the pre-development design and procurement process and therefore the council will be especially diligent finding an appropriately experienced consultant for this key role. Prospective tenderers are therefore advised to pay particular attention to the Selection Criteria in the Brief.
