The National strategy of providing care closer to home has led the commissioners to transfer services where appropriate out of secondary to primary care settings.

In the case of minor surgery, the service is commissioned in such a way as to achieve three key goals :-

The successful providers(s) will be offered an AQP standard NHS contract. It should be noted that `under the Any Qualified Provider model, there will be no guarantees of volume or payment in the contracts awarded. Service specifications and the electronic application form can be found online at www.nhssourcing.co.uk and applications will be received until 28/08/15. The accreditation will last for three years, with contracts being issued and reviewed annually.

3. Responding to the tender - Click 'My Response' under 'PQQ/ ITT Details', you can choose to 'Create Response' or to 'Decline to Respond' (please give a reason if declining) - You can now use the ‘Messages’ function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification - Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the PQQ/ ITT - There may be a mixture of online & offline actions for you to perform (there is detailed online help available) You must then submit your reply using the 'Submit Response' button at the top of the page.
