description
This award is for the appointment of a lead consultant to lead the design and delivery of Phase 1 of the University's Campus Development Programme. Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) have been appointed as Lead Consultant to manage the wider professional services team. The professional services to be provided by the consultant team include, but are not limited to, Project Management, Contract Administrator, Cost Manager, Building Surveyor, Sustainability Consultant, Architect, Building Services, Civil & Structural Engineering and ancillary services such as fire engineer. Phase 1 of the Campus Development Programme relates to the refurbishment of Building 3 within the Grade II listed Lasdun Wall to provide science research facilities and general purpose teaching and learning space. The project is in the initial stages of design and is currently programmed to complete in 2025.
The appointment has been made through the NHS SBS Construction Consultancy Services Framework - Lot 12 Ancillary Services (Incl. Multidisciplinary Team).
Additional information: The appointment was approved by the University on 5th February 2021, work started on stage 1 design on 8th February 2021. Contracts were executed on 7th July 2021.
