The Care Act and General Advocacy Service will provide independent advocacy services to support two functions. Its core function will be to support adults and children (and those in their role as carers) with key processes relating to care and support assessments, reviews, and care planning, under the requirements of the Care Act 2014. The service will also be able, depending on demand for the core function, to provide general advocacy services required by adults with care and support needs.
