Joint Forces Command (JFC) were inviting bids for the Provision of Hardware for the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) Federated Mission Network (FMN). JFC may be referred to as the ''Authority'' hereafter. JFC is part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD).

The Authority has a requirement to field a NATO FMN compliant Operational Computer Information System (OpCIS) capability.

This requirement is to stand up Hosting Environments, Network Interconnection Points, and a Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). This is in support of enhanced NATO Reaction Force (eNRF) very high readiness tasks, capable of being secured to Military Hardening Standards.

The requirement is solely for the provision of all of the hardware, no installation / configuration was required for the hardware. The Authority required warranty and three (3) year support for some of the hardware outlined. The Authority's requirement was for the infrastructure needed to build:

  1. x Mission Network Elements (MNE's) and;
  2. x Mission Network Extensions (MNX's).
