QU097 - Provision of Food Inspections for Regulation and Enforcement

Birmingham City Council requires a supplier for the provision of Food inspections for Regulations and Enforcement.

The Provider will be appointed as an agent to provide Food Officers ("Officers") who have powers to enter and inspect food outlets and will be required to undertake food standards inspections, health and safety hazard spotting and make checks regarding commercial disposal of refuse in accordance with Duty of Care legislation. Information must be recorded on the aide-memoire provided.

This contract could be for a duration of 3 years commencing 1st April 2018 until 31st March 2021. The contract will be reviewed on an annual basis depending on previous performance including the ability of the provider to deliver all orders on time.

BCC will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest. The web address is: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/birminghamcc
