CLOSING TIME FOR BIDS IS 27/10/2017 AT 14:00 HOURS. DO NOT APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE BUYER.

To provide pressure systems examinations, as due, of all relevant plant installed at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton in accordance with Manufactures Instructions, any relevant legislation such as the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000; the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and guidance such as; HSE Approved Code of Practice L122;.

The installed pressure systems plant and current examination due dates is as follows: See attached asset list.

The pressure system examinations are to occur within working hours and based on a programme of priority to be agreed with the client.

The contractor is to allow for the following:

  • Examination of all pressure system plant, as detailed in the written schemes.
  • Provision of written assurance that suitably competent personnel will only be used for the works relevant to this contract.
  • Update of risk assessments and training information held within the log book
  • Review of all installed pressure systems and update of written scheme of examinations as required, hard and electronic copies to be provided.
  • Provision of service records for each item of equipment examined.
  • Review and audit of all Safe Systems of work procedures and documentation associated with pressure systems

Note: no live electrical working, as defined by the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, on any of the equipment associated with this contract, is permitted without first complying with Regulation 14. A suitably authorised Low Voltage Competent Person may only carry out such work taking all precautions necessary as detailed in their risk assessment.

No work shall be undertaken on a pressure system without permission from the client and safe isolation inline with the contractor risk assessment
