<b>Contract Title:</b> <b>Neighbourhood perspectives on loneliness (older people) </b> <b> </b> <b>Reference</b><b>:</b> <b>ESCW (PH) 4945</b> <b>Description:</b> The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is inviting expression of interest from a suitably qualified provider to tender for the provision of the 'Neighbourhood Perspectives on Loneliness' (older people) project. This project will take place in the three wards of Bethnal Green, Mile End and St Peters. The provider(s) will train residents in Tower Hamlets to undertake community research, to gain insight into the perspectives and/or experiences of loneliness among older people living in Tower Hamlets. The project has a particular focus on 'older people and place' so is interested in exploring how the places in which people live either contribute toward or mitigate against loneliness. The service will: · Network and establish relationships with local groups, providers and organisations to identify opportunities for engaging residents. · Recruit up to 15 persons from the local community and train them to undertake accredited community research · Gather robust data and intelligence via the community researchers, on resident's perspectives and experiences of loneliness in the context of the neighbourhood. · To gather data using a variety of methods. I.e. through engagement with existing community groups and also through opportunistic conversations. <b></b> We are interested in receiving expressions of interest from providers with experience of: · Delivering community outreach projects that engage the community to co-produce outcomes. <b></b> · Establishing links with individuals, networks, community groups and providers. <b></b> · Recruiting, supervising and managing a team of volunteers. <b></b> · Undertaking community research and research methods including the gathering, analysis and presentation of qualitative and quantitative data.<b></b> · The management, delivery and evaluation of projects.<b></b> <b></b> Partnership arrangements to deliver different aspects of the project are welcomed. <b></b> <b>Contract start date: 05/10/2015</b> <b>The total value of all contracts: </b> Up to £60,000 <b>Contract period: & amp; nbsp; ; </b>12 months Organisations wishing to express their interest are requested to register on the London Tenders Portal via the link below, where the tender documentation will be available for download.
