NHS Warrington CCG - Park House Mental Health Crisis House

NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (CSU) are working on behalf of NHS Warrington CCG who have awarded a contract for a mental health crisis house service for patients living in its area.

Park House is in the heart of Warrington it has three guest bedrooms for people who need short term support to help them overcome a mental health crisis. The service offers short stays for up to five days (longer in exceptional circumstances) and aims to help people to avoid hospital admission and maintain personal independence. Individuals will work with a team of experienced Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Support Workers on a tailored support plan to help manage their mental health and develop effective coping strategies. Individuals are offered one-to-one and group sessions to provide practical and emotional support, build resilience and to develop self-help tools.

The idea is to provide a 'normal' house in a 'normal' location, which is close to local amenities, and transport links. The house is staffed on a 24-hour basis by an experienced support team that are able to respond quickly and flexibly to the needs of those in mental health crisis.

Additional information: This Contract Award Notice is published under the Public Contract Regulations 2015. It is for clinical services which are Light Touch Regime services for the purpose of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as specified in Schedule 3 of the Regulations ('Regulations'). Accordingly, the contracting authority is only bound by those parts of the Regulations detailed in Chapter 3 Particular Procurement Regimes Section 7. The contracting authority is not voluntarily following any other part of the Regulations.
