16-010 Adult Care and Housing Independent Housing Services

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council (RMBC) are inviting bids from a number of organisations who might be able to provide Independent Advocacy Services as determined by The Care Act 2014, The Mental Capacity Act 2005, The Mental Health Act 2007 and Generic Advocacy Services that meet the needs of persons eligible to have an appointed independent advocate. The purpose of this Tender is to secure Independent Advocacy Service(s) to meet all statutory requirements on the council for the provision of independent advocacy under the terms of the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Mental Health Act 2007 and to address wider non statutory (generic) advocacy requirements for those who have difficulty articulating and negotiating their needs. Both Statutory Advocacy Services and Generic Advocacy Services will provide service cover to people who are eligible to receive such service and who reside within the Rotherham Borough. This tender is separated into two lots; Lot 1 is for Statutory Advocacy Services and Lot 2 is for Generic Advocacy Services. Tenderer's are not restricted to applying for one Lot. This is a block contract with defined volumes of service
