Prior Information Notice (PIN) for Musculosketal (MSK) Service for NHS Darlington Clinical Commissioning Group

NHS Darlington Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) proposes to commission a Musculoskeletal service to start April 2017.

The service will be a community care based Musculoskeletal service based in Darlington developed within a framework that recognises their commitment to the development of the Five Year Forward View and, in particular, the new models of care, which is likely to include clusters of GP practices working in partnership with a number of other providers to establish an integrated way of working and an increased reliance on self-management.

Under the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 the contracting authorities must consider:

How what is proposed to be procured might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the relevant area (area is the geographic area for which the procurement is taking place)

How, in conducting the process of procurement, it might act with a view to securing the improvement.

North of England Commissioning Support Service (NECS) is a commissioning support service hosted by NHS England and will run the tender process for and on behalf of NHS Darlington CCG (the contracting authority).
