The successful tenderer will be require to supply and install handrails as per the drawings located in separe documents attached.

All railings are to be galvanised and a white powder coat finish is to be applied.

All members shall be finished galvanised. It is important that cutting or drilling should be undertaken before the elements forming the frame have been galvanised. The steel tube must be in accordance with BS EN 10255. Hot dip galvanising shall be carried out in accordance to BS EN ISO 1461:2009 and the manufacturers shall supply WDH with certification of the galvanising carried out. The white powder coating shall be carried out in accordance with BS EN 12206 and finally all fabrication work shall be carried out in accordance with British Standards.

Handrails are to be fixed to the ground with lateral support as shown in the specification drawings attached.

Process of the work should follow the process below;

WDH allocate purchase order number to the successful tenderer
The successful tenderer attends site within 24 hours to survey.
The successful tenderer completes fabrication work.
The successful tenderer arranges the steel to be galvanised
The successful tenderer arranges the galvanised steel to be coated in white powder
The successful tenderer attends site and installs the handrail
The successful tenderer notifies WDH that the order is complete with 10 working days.

Tenderers are encouraged to submit proposals to the above that could reduce the time taken from purchase order allocation to work completion. Tenderers are also encouraged to provide supply chain arrangement they have in place to support the 10 working day turnaround.

Prices and discounts must be inclusive of all charges (examples including, but not limited to supply, galvanisation, undercoat, installation and carriage) and be clearly stated in Appendix 3, no extra delivery or minimum order restrictions will be acceptable and all prices must be fixed for the first 12 months.
