Supply of Hospitality Apprenticeship Standards:
York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust wish to appoint a single training provider to deliver the below apprenticeship standards on-site. The location of delivery will be either York Hospital (Y031 8HE) or Scarborough Hospital (Y012 6QL). A fundamental requirement is that the training provider is able to deliver at both locations and that the majority of the learning can be undertaken in the workplace.
In all instances learner numbers are based on a two year contract. Similarly, the training provider will be required to deliver on site programme awareness sessions to aid staff understanding of the apprenticeship programme concerned.
- oLot 1: Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship Standard:
For our Catering Staff based at York Hospital. Anticipated learner numbers 2-3. Fixed start date April 2018. Please see Job Description (Appendix C) for background information.
- oLot 2: Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship Standard:
For our Facilities Operatives based at Scarborough Hospital - see job description (Appendix A). A pilot cohort of 10-19 learners. Learner starts will be 'staggered' from April 2018 onwards. One cluster of learners will be based at Scarborough site, the remaining numbers will be based elsewhere - actual base has yet to be agreed.
Operatives currently undergo significant workplace training. Where possible, this needs to be recognised and contribute to qualification completion. Appendix B lists the details of the training currently undertaken.
Further cohorts are anticipated as the number of operatives is increased/the role implemented at York.
- oLot 3: Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor:
For our Catering Supervisors based at York Hospital. Dependant on success, this could become the preferred supervisor training for this staff group at both York and Scarborough.
Anticipated learner numbers over a two year period is 1-2 learners. Fixed start date April 2018.
- oThese numbers are initial confirmed numbers. There will be additions during the lifespan of this Contract. Full numbers as yet not known.
- oBids will be accepted on initial confirmed estimated numbers.
