Concession opportunity - Provision of funfairs at Southsea Common and King George V Playing Fields, Cosham

Portsmouth City Council is inviting tenders from suitably qualified suppliers to deliver funfairs and associated entertainment at Southsea Common and King George V Playing Fields, Cosham.

Two events are planned for the 2020 season at Southsea Common and five events at King George V Playing Fields. Suppliers can bid for both sites, and of the events proposed for each site suppliers can bid for one, more or all of the following dates.

Southsea Common: 23rd - 27th April and 23rd - 27th July

King George V Playing Fields: 21st - 27th April, 28th April - 4th May, 5th - 11th May, 16th - 22nd June, and 23rd - 29th June.

The Authority's aim is to secure an events programme that provides a varied offer in the City, and as a result of this tender the Authority may award multiple suppliers.

The initial Contract period will be for one year with possibility of extending the term by a further two years to a maximum total term of three years in increments to be agreed, subject to the agreement and performance of both parties.

This is a concession opportunity that generates an income to the Council.

The Authority is targeting to have awarded the contract(s) by Tuesday 15th November 2019. Contracts will commence on the 1st January 2020 for the delivery of funfairs that year.
