Developing a decision support tool to inform land management scenarios in Montserrat

JNCC is providing technical assistance to the Overseas Territory of Montserrat. This project aims to support the Government of Montserrat to;

• Develop a systems model to explore different future development scenarios of land use and environmental management in Montserrat and improve understanding of the natural capital linkages and potential 'trade-offs'/synergies to support decision making.

This project aims to build on previous projects and experience gained elsewhere in the Caribbean and South Atlantic Territories, to provide Montserrat with a tool to support terrestrial spatial planning and nature conservation gains, to gain a better understanding of natural capital linkages and inform better decision making around land-use management.
