Refurbishment of the Junior Doctors common room (Room 027-01-1730) within Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
As this is a working hospital in 24/7 use and this carpark is also open to members of the public and staff 24/7. Therefore, the issue of being in constant use needs to be taken into consideration and allowed for. Access to the project works area and the site will be via the nearby entrance from one of the Hospital's main circulation corridors.
| 3.3 | Close working with our water monitoring consultants, Evolution, will also be required to ensure that the timings for water treatment and post-testing are also incorporated into the programme window of five weeks. Please also allow for two days post chlorination of pipework, before final water test. |
| 3.4 | The project duration is of THREE weeks maximum duration so that the area is returned to clinical use as soon as it IS practical to do so. This Common Room is a very valuable resource for the Hospital within its clinical provision, so keeping the project duration as short as is practical, without compromising quality is important. |
| 3.5 | The prospective tenderer is advised to visit site to ascertain the full extent and nature of the works and to interpret the information contained within this specification and detailed on the drawings to suit the characteristics of the site. |
| 3.6 | Suppliers are encouraged to gain as much knowledge and information as possible about the project. If a supplier wishes to visit the hospital site during the process, this can be arranged with the Trust via the ProActis (Due North) ProContract portal. Notice of at least 1 working day is required in advance of such visits. |
