Ellacombe Little Stars Nursery Contract

Ellacombe Primary School in Torquay, which forms part of The Learning Academy Partnership (LAP), operate a separate Nursery Building to the rear of Ellacombe Church, operating under the name of 'Little Stars Nursery'.

The LAP and Ellacombe Primary School are looking to increase the capacity of the Little Stars Nursery facility through two small extensions and refurbishment of the Building.

The existing ground floor area is currently used as a Nursery and, as it has been subject to some upgrading over the last 2 years, is not intended to have complete refurbishment as part of this contract. The existing ground floor entrance area and stairs up to first floor, however, are considered unsuitable for retention and is required to be re-built as a part single storey and part two storey extension. This replacement extension will incorporate a new entrance, an office/reception area, a disabled WC, a platform lift and a new staircase.

A small single storey extension will also be constructed to provide a sleep room and a suspended external play area will also be provided between the two new extensions.

The existing first floor area is currently used by certain community groups. This area requires significant repairs and refurbishment to be carried out as part of this contract.
